The extensive renovation allowed Tillman Domotics to work closely with the client to customise the property exactly for his needs. There’s no aspect of integrated technology that this property does not include from access control, intercom and video-entry systems, intruder and fire alarm interfaces to telephone, data and TV distribution. Music can be accessed everywhere and, in the double-height drawing room, a set of stealth acoustics invisible speakers is plastered into the walls.
Total Control
As there is a vast amount of glass in this 12,500-square foot contemporary home, the rooms can get very warm and motorized blinds are an important element of the technology. As with all the other high-tech systems, this is controlled via Crestron-driven touchscreen panels and iPads that allow you to look at the floor plan of each room in the house and adjust conditions to your needs.
Custom-made Cinema
One of the highlights here is a custom-made home cinema with a 3-metre wide micro-porous projection screen, active 3-D system and 7.1 surround sound. Optical fibre-based lights on the ceiling that are reminiscent of a starry night sky make this one of the most striking-looking cinemas on the residential market.
